The Spanish property market has once again become an attractive investment option, third quarter data shows.

Property prices in Spain rose by 6.7% in the third quarter (Q3) of 2017, rising faster than the EU average of 4.6% and the Eurozone average of 4.1%, according to the EU statistics bureau Eurostat. Read more »

Despite Andalucia welcoming over 29 million visitors in 2017, the province will not be looking at implementing a tourist tax, says Susana Diaz, president of the Junta de Andalucia.

Last year, Spain experienced a record breaking year for tourism with visitor numbers rising to over 82 million, a rise of 8.9% on 2016 figures, according to the business lobby Alliance for Excellence in Tourism (Exceltur). Read more »

Residential property sales and property prices will rise across Spain in 2018, new report predicts

Zara boss, Amancio Ortega, injects €100 million into the Spanish arm of his real estate business Pontegadea España, according to the Central Mercantile Register (BORME).

In November, the Spanish billionaire reorganized his company Pontegadea Inmobiliaria, renaming its Spanish subsidiary from Torre Norte Castellana to Pontegadea España. Pontegadea España will deal with any Spanish real estate business and is currently valued at more than €1.6 billion. Read more »

Malaga is the second most popular airport in Spain, welcoming 5.1 million travellers, latest figures show.

In the first eleven months of the year, more than 42 million travellers came to Spain via budget airlines, representing a 13.7% increase from the same period last year, reports Euro Weekly News.

Barcelona-El Prat airport was the top airport for travelers; welcoming a staggering 10.3 million passengers, more than double that of Malaga. Read more »

Spain is leading the commercial real estate market thanks to foreign investment.

Interest volumes in commercial real estate are set to reach €8.9bn by the end of this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 5%, according to Savills.
